Hospitality management company Aimbridge Hospitality has added a collection of six hotels in Mexico to its portfolio, a move that will support its growth strategy.
Aimbridge LATAM, the company’s division serving Latin America, will oversee operations and reposition the properties, which are owned by Alliance Hotel Management.
All six hotels are scheduled for rebranding as voco hotels under the IHG Hotels & Resorts group in 2026.
The move increases Aimbridge’s total voco-managed properties to ten.
Three of the properties currently operate as Real Inn Cancún, Real Inn Guadalajara Expo, and Real Inn Ciudad Juárez with guest room counts of 160, 163 and 150, respectively.
These locations are undergoing renovations and plan to reopen under the voco flag in April 2026.
The other three hotels, namely the 133-room Real Inn San Luis Potosí, the 120-room Real Inn Nuevo Laredo, and the 124-room Real Inn Torreón, will close early next year and are expected to relaunch as voco hotels in October 2026.
The rebranding process will involve investment in property upgrades, operational improvements and integration into IHG’s global distribution and loyalty programmes.
Aimbridge stated that these measures aim to improve performance while aligning the sites with international standards set by IHG.
Aimbridge chief executive officer Craig Smith said: “The ownership group came to us because they know what it takes to succeed in Mexico’s upscale market and knew our operational expertise would help them get the most from their repositioning strategy.
“We will work alongside them through every phase of the repositioning – bringing these properties into IHG’s reservation and loyalty network, fine-tuning operations to hit the right mark and making sure the guest experience reflects favourably on the voco brand.”
According to Aimbridge, Mexico is a significant growth market. The country attracts more than 45 million international visitors annually.
The expansion aligns with Aimbridge’s broader portfolio development plans in the region.
IHG Latin America & Caribbean senior vice president Paul Adan said: “We are delighted to continue expanding voco hotels in Mexico, one of our most strategic and dynamic markets in Latin America.
“The addition of these six hotels reinforces IHG’s long-term commitment to the country, and partnering with Aimbridge, a globally recognised leader in hotel management, gives us full confidence that these properties will elevate the guest experience and set new benchmarks of quality in their respective markets.”
“Aimbridge adds six-property hotel collection to portfolio” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
