Another deadly incident in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli military said that it has once again killed several Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The army announced on Saturday that forces in the northern Gaza Strip identified several “terrorists” who had crossed the so-called yellow line and planted an explosive device.

They posed an “immediate threat” and were killed by the air force after being identified, the army’s statement said.

Israel has declared the so-called yellow line to be the new border with the Gaza Strip. The line marks the Israeli army’s withdrawal position as part of the ceasefire with the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas.

It is marked by yellow concrete posts and signs. There have been repeated deadly incidents since the ceasefire began on October 10.

According to various sources, Israel controls slightly more than half of the Gaza Strip, which is around 41 kilometres long and between 6 and 12 kilometres wide.
