Germany’s electrical and digital sectors are showing signs of recovery, with industry association ZVEI on Tuesday reporting strong orders, production and sales.

Companies saw total orders rise 4.2% in the first nine months of the year compared with the same period in 2024, driven largely by foreign demand. Orders from the eurozone jumped 8.1% and those from other countries climbed 11%.

Domestic orders fell 2.8% year-on-year, but rose 10.3% in September alone.

Price-adjusted production increased 5.9% in September, though remains 0.8% below the previous year’s level. ZVEI had originally expected an annual decline in production of 2%.

Revenues grew 9.3% in September, boosting business confidence, while total industry turnover for the first three quarters reached €165.5 billion ($192 billion), up 1.6% year-on-year, led by strong international sales.
