A woman has died in a rocket attack on northern Israel mounted by Hezbollah from Lebanon on Tuesday, Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service reported.
Two other people were slightly injured in the attack near Safed, some 15 kilometres from the Lebanese border.
A paramedic said the woman had been found with shrapnel wounds in a ditch at the side of the road and died at the scene.
Israeli media reported on the basis of military sources that the Iran-backed militia has launched dozens of rockets and drones at Israel since Tuesday morning.
The Shiite militia has resumed attacks on Israel since the start of the Iran war at the end of February. Israel has reacted with air attacks and deployed ground troops across the border in southern Lebanon.
