IDF strike ‘dismantled’ IRGC Navy headquarters in Tehran last week, military confirms

The Israel Air Force conducted the strike on Friday on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy’s headquarters in a military compound in Tehran.

An Israel Air Force strike on Friday “dismantled” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGC-N) headquarters in Tehran, the military confirmed on Monday.

The headquarters was located in a large regime compound and had been used by several senior naval commanders to manage maritime terrorist activities against Israel and other Middle Eastern countries over recent years, the IDF stated.

IRGC-N is “directly responsible for carrying out terror attacks against civilian vessels, and is responsible for arming and financing the regime’s proxy terror organizations by transferring weapons by sea,” the military said.

The strike “further degrades IRGC-N’s command and control capabilities, while impairing its ability to execute terrorist activities against the State of Israel, threaten international trade routes, and limit maritime freedom of navigation,” the IDF wrote.

This is a developing story.
