Israeli security forces arrested a terror cell in Bethlehem overnight that was planning an attack, the IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) said in a joint statement on Monday.
The targeted operation was conducted by the IDF, Israel Border Police, and the Shin Bet in the Etzion Regional Brigade sector.
In operations across the West Bank, officers and soldiers detained a total of 16 wanted suspects and seized weapons and funds used for terror-related purposes.
Seven suspects were arrested in the villages of Halhoul, Sir, and Beit Sahur, also located within the Etzion sector.
In the Yehuda Brigade area, four suspects were taken into custody. Forces also confiscated a handgun and funds allegedly earmarked for terrorist activity.

IDF operates in the area of Tulkarm
Operations in the Ephraim Brigade sector resulted in the arrest of three suspects in the villages of Shuweika, Kafr ad-Dik, and Izbat Shufa, located in the Tulkarm area. Two more suspects were arrested in the Menashe Brigade sector.
All detainees and the confiscated items were transferred to the authorities for further handling.
