Kia previews its PV5 electric van/minibus

Kia Corporation previewed its newly developed PV5 battery-powered light van and minibus range ahead of its official unveiling at the “2025 Kia EV Day” event in Tarragona, Spain, later this month. Earlier this week the South Korean automaker released images of its new EV4 sedan and hatchback models, which will also be presented to the public in Tarragona on the 24th of February.

The PV5, which will be available as a light cargo van and passenger minibus, was originally introduced as a concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in 2024. It is the first model to be developed based on Kia’s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) global business strategy.

The PV5 was designed to “redefine the concepts of space and mobility”, to fulfil the diverse needs of a broad customer base by providing unprecedented flexibility and customization through innovative modularity – according to the company.

Kia confirmed it will offer the PV5 in several configurations to meet a wide range of usage needs. The Passenger and Cargo models will be joined later by further additions to the range, including specialized conversion options, all of which will be unveiled at the Tarragona event.

“Kia previews its PV5 electric van/minibus” was originally created and published by Just Auto, a GlobalData owned brand.
