Children walking in the woods outside of Pisgat Ze’ev on Friday before Shabbat found the bones and showed them to one of their fathers, who called the police.
Israel Police on Monday confirmed that the human remains found earlier this month outside of Jerusalem belong to a missing Finnish tourist.
The family has been notified.

Searching the area, police also found a foreign passport, which has been linked to a Finnish tourist who went missing in March 2024.

Finnish tourist last seen in Jerusalem hostel
The tourist, a Finnish citizen, arrived in Israel in January 2024 and was last seen on March 10, 2024, in a hostel in central Jerusalem, where she had been staying.
Police took the bone remnants to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further identification as to origin and cause of death.
