The IDF confirmed that the incident in Safed was due to a direct hit and not due to shrapnel, as it was originally believed. More than 30 rockets were fired on Friday against northern Israel.
A parking lot in Safed was damaged by a direct impact of a Hezbollah rocket on Friday, after several barrages of rockets and drones pummeled the north of the country.

MDA also reported that one of its ambulances was damaged during the rocket barrage against Safed.
According to Israeli media, damage was reported near an ancient Byzantine church in Nahariya, while the Israel Police was investigating possible falls in the northern Galilee region.
IDF estimates said that more than 30 rockets were launched against northern communities on Friday since the morning, with no reports of people wounded outside of cases of anxiety.

One of the missile barrages that targeted Kiryat Shmona fell on a kindergarten where, minutes before, there were kids playing, in what residents call “a miracle.”
Kfir Ben Hamu, a resident from the area, told Maariv that the shrapnel fell inside a playground: “Ten minutes ago there were children there!”
IDF reservist, soldier wounded by shrapnel in southern Lebanon
The IDF said on Friday that two soldiers, one of them a reservist, were wounded by shrapnel from an explosive drone in southern Lebanon, with one of them being severely wounded.
Additionally, Army Radio reported that a combat officer from the Givati Brigade was moderately wounded as a result of gunfire during a clash with terrorists in southern Lebanon.
The military said all the soldiers were evacuated to a hospital and that their families were notified of the incident.
