The official residence of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was struck in Israeli-US airstrikes, according to satellite imagery published by an Iranian news outlet.
An image published by Iran’s Sabrin News showed the site — a high-security compound in Tehran known as the Beit-e Rahbari — completely destroyed. Residents in the capital also reported that the residence had been hit.
It was unclear whether Khamenei was present at the time. He has rarely appeared in public in recent weeks amid rising military tensions.

Iranian authorities are likely to have made his security a top priority, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
Khamenei is the country’s political and religious leader as well as commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
