Switch Mobility partners with Vertelo for EV adoption in India

Switch Mobility has partnered with Vertelo, an electric mobility solutions provider, to boost the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India.

The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is set to deploy 1,000 electric commercial vehicles (eCVs) across the country over the next three to five years.

Under this alliance, Vertelo will lease and fund Switch Mobility’s advanced electric buses and eLCVs.

This makes easier for businesses and municipalities across India to switch to electric fleets.

Switch Mobility CEO Mahesh Babu said in social platform X: “This collaboration represents a pivotal shift in India’s commercial mobility landscape. By combining our advanced EV technology with Vertelo’s innovative leasing solutions, we’re not just selling vehicles – we’re enabling businesses to embrace sustainable transportation without capital constraints.

“This aligns perfectly with our vision of democratising electric mobility across India’s diverse commercial sectors.”

The partnership aims to tackle air pollution, climate change, and urban congestion by adding Switch Mobility’s eLCVs and buses to Vertelo’s leasing network.

Vertelo CEO Sandeep Gambhir said: “ Our alliance with SWITCH Mobility marks a transformative approach to commercial fleet electrification. By removing the traditional barriers of high upfront costs and operational uncertainties, we’re empowering businesses of all sizes to participate in India’s electric revolution.

“This partnership goes beyond vehicle deployment – it’s about creating a sustainable ecosystem that makes electric mobility the obvious choice for commercial operators.”

“Switch Mobility partners with Vertelo for EV adoption in India” was originally created and published by Just Auto, a GlobalData owned brand.
