Omar Safa Khosi who was arrested on Sunday for filming underage girls in the Fishman Beach changing room will be indicted on Monday.
Omar Safa Khosi, a Turkish Embassy employee, who is suspected of filming underage girls in the changing room of Frishman Beach in Tel Aviv, will have an indictment filed against him on Monday, Israel media reported.
Khosi was arrested on suspicion of sexual harrasment last week after a call placed to Israel Police claimed he had gone inside the women’s changing room and was filming underage girls on his phone. At least three other complaints were made regarding the incident.
During the investigation, the suspect “did not deny taking the photos, but made non-contradictory statements,” a police representative said.
Turkish authorities requested that Khosi be released into their custody and be held at the embassy’s compound in Tel Aviv under diplomatic status, but Israel rejected the request.
Khosi’s lawyer attempted to persuade the court to release him into embassy supervision, but the request was also denied. Instead, the judge decided to extend Khosi’s detention considering the nature of the offenses.
This is a developing story.
