The nominations were announced during a livestream from the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, which featured\u00a0Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. as well as some special guests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It was announced earlier this year that the upcoming\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/awards\/grammys\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">66th GRAMMY Awards<\/a><span>\u00a0will feature three new categories:\u00a0Best African Music Performance,\u00a0Best Alternative Jazz Album\u00a0and\u00a0Best Pop Dance Recording.\u00a0Additionally, the GRAMMYs are moving two categories &#8212;\u00a0Producer of the Year, Non-Classical\u00a0and Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical &#8212; to the General Field, allowing all GRAMMY voters to cast their vote for the categories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Additionally, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/trevor-noah-reveals-hes-set-to-host-2024-grammy-awards-216504\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Trevor Noah revealed in December that he would once again be hosting<\/a><span> the show &#8212; marking his fourth time in a row serving as emcee.\u00a0 Noah announced the news during an episode of his podcast,<\/span><em><span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Trevornoah\/status\/1735166475319586953\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">What Now? Meanwhile,\u00a0Molly McNearney &#8212; Kimmel&#8217;s wife, who serves as the <\/span><em><span>Jimmy Kimmel Live <\/span><\/em><span>co-head writer &#8212; will executive produce the telecast.\u00a0Kimmel previously hosted the ceremony in 2017, 2018 and 2023.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/oscar-nominations-2024-see-the-full-list-218379\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Nominees for this year&#8217;s show<\/a><span> were announced on Jan. 23, and included some divisive choice &#8212; as well as some shocking snubs (including Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig getting largely shut out, despite Barbie&#8217;s eight total noms). This year&#8217;s top contenders include Barbie, Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, Poor Things and Maestro, to name a few favs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In October 2023, the academy did reveal the creative team who will be taking on the star-studded production.\u00a0Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan were announced as the executive producers of the 2024 Oscars, with Kapoor acting as showrunner, while Hamish Hamilton is set to return as the show&#8217;s director &#8212; marking his fourth time in the role.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2><span>NAACP Image Awards<\/span><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"shortcode shortcode-image content-in\"><figcaption class=\"content-in\"><span class=\"shortcode-image__credit\">Frederick M. Outstanding Cinematography in a Motion Picture; Outstanding Short Form Documentary;\u00a0Outstanding Original Score for TV\/Film;\u00a0Outstanding Scripted Series Podcast; Outstanding Limited Series\/Short Form Podcast;\u00a0Outstanding Graphic Novel and\u00a0Outstanding Stunt Ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>NAACP will also recognize winners in non-televised categories March 12-14, which will stream on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.naacpimageawards.net\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">the ceremony&#8217;s official site,<\/a><span>\u00a0and during the NAACP Image Awards Dinner, which will be held on Thursday, March 14, in Los Angeles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;We are thrilled to bring back the Image Awards along with our partner BET and CBS once again,&#8221;
