Toby Keith, the boisterous, unapologetically patriotic country star who died last week at 62<\/a>, has a posthumous No. 1 on Billboard\u2019s album chart, as a 16-year-old hits collection narrowly edged out Morgan Wallen\u2019s latest \u2014 and easily topped releases by the rapper 21 Savage and the Grammy winners Taylor Swift and SZA \u2014 to reach the top of the chart.<\/p>\n Keith\u2019s \u201c35 Biggest Hits,\u201d with tracks like \u201cShould\u2019ve Been a Cowboy,\u201d \u201cWho\u2019s Your Daddy?,\u201d \u201cCourtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)\u201d and the Willie Nelson duet \u201cBeer for My Horses\u201d \u2014 all of them No. 1 country smashes \u2014 re-entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 1. It had the equivalent of 66,000 sales in the United States, including 64 million streams and 11,000 copies sold as a complete package, according to the tracking service Luminate.<\/p>\n \u201c35 Biggest Hits,\u201d which came out in 2008 on two CDs and previously reached as high as No. 2, becomes Keith\u2019s fifth album to go to No. 1, and the first since \u201cBullets in the Gun\u201d in 2010.<\/p>\n \u201c35 Biggest Hits\u201d is the first posthumous No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since \u201cFaith\u201d by Pop Smoke, in early 2021, about a year after the Brooklyn rapper was killed in a shooting at age 20<\/a>. Billboard notes<\/a> that Keith\u2019s collection is also the first retrospective album to hit No. 1 since \u201cThe Very Best of Prince,\u201d shortly after Prince\u2019s death in 2016.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n The 66,000 equivalent sales for \u201c35 Biggest Hits\u201d barely beat out Wallen\u2019s \u201cOne Thing at a Time,\u201d a streaming blockbuster for much of the last year that has logged a total of 18 weeks at No. 1 and had the equivalent of 65,000 sales in its most recent week, landing at No. 2.<\/p>\n Also this week, SZA\u2019s \u201cSOS\u201d is No. 3, 21 Savage\u2019s \u201cAmerican Dream\u201d is No. 4 and Swift\u2019s \u201cMidnights\u201d \u2014 the album of the year winner at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 4 \u2014 rises four spots to No. 5.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
