Collins did herself no favors with unforced errors and seven double-faults.<\/p>\n<p>Swiatek now faces either <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=6970\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Linda Noskova<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=1979\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Camila Giorgi<\/a>, who were playing later Friday night. Swiatek lost in the third round at Melbourne Park to the 19-year-old Noskova.<\/p>\n<p>In other women&#8217;s action, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Angelique Kerber<\/a> battled back to beat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=2195\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jelena Ostapenko<\/a> 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 in a matchup of former Grand Slam champions. It was similar to Kerber&#8217;s three-set win in Cincinnati in 2021 before she became a mother and returned to action this year.<\/p>\n<p>Kerber, who reached the Indian Wells final in 2019, is a three-time Grand Slam titlist.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, Australian Open champion <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=3623\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jannik Sinner<\/a> cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win over <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/sports\/tennis\/players\/profile?playerId=2320\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Thanasi Kokkinakis<\/a> to extend his winning streak to 16 matches.
