Ms. Jabbari met Mr. Majors on the set of \u201cAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania\u201d in London. She lived with him, first there and later in New York, but their relationship quickly deteriorated and he routinely screamed at her and threatened self-harm when she tried to leave or disclose the extent of his misconduct, the lawsuit said.<\/p>\n
In September 2022, in London, according to the lawsuit, he threw her against the hood of her car, placed her \u201cin a headlock and put his hand over her mouth to prevent someone from hearing her cries for help.\u201d Back in their house, the suit said, he put his hands around her neck and threatened to kill her. He then hit her head against a marble floor, the lawsuit continued, \u201cwhile strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe.\u201d The altercation left her with \u201cbrain fog\u201d and \u201ca constant ringing headache,\u201d <\/span>according to the documents.<\/p>\n Earlier that year, in Los Angeles, he threw her into a shower, the lawsuit stated, \u201ccausing her head to hit the wall.\u201d She lived in \u201cconstant fear\u201d of Mr. Majors, the suit said.<\/p>\n Since his arrest, Mr. Majors\u2019s once high-flying career has collapsed<\/a>: Marvel dropped him hours after his conviction, and all his coming movies were shelved. In an interview with ABC in January, he maintained that he had \u201cnever hit a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n His comments, the lawsuit said, were intended to harm Ms. Jabbari\u2019s reputation and career, and led people to \u201clash out, harass, intimidate, and bully\u201d her, including by sending her death threats.<\/p>\n The suit also accused Mr. Majors of \u201cmalicious prosecution\u201d over his effort to file a countercomplaint against Ms. Jabbari last summer. Ms. Jabbari turned herself into the police, but the Manhattan district attorney\u2019s office declined to pursue the case, saying it lacked merit<\/a>. The episode was an \u201coffense-is-the-best-defense tactic,\u201d the lawsuit said, \u201cdeployed by Majors to harass and intimidate his victim.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
