And so I filled my inkwell, put a quill pen to my chin and cried, \u201cA playlist is in order!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Though there are no Swift songs on this mix, it does feature the two poets she name-checks on her latest album: Dylan Thomas (in a shaggy ode written by <strong class=\"css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10\">Better Oblivion Community Center<\/strong>) and that most poetic of rock stars, <strong class=\"css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10\">Patti Smith<\/strong>. It is also significantly shorter than \u201cThe Tortured Poets Department\u201d and its 15-song companion piece (known together as \u201cThe Anthology\u201d), which, as I suggest in my <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/04\/19\/arts\/music\/taylor-swift-album-tortured-poets-department-review.html\" title=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">review<\/a> of Swift\u2019s album, is not necessarily a bad thing. And no, my friends, this playlist does not contain any <strong class=\"css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10\">Charlie Puth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">It does, however, highlight songs by <strong class=\"css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10\">the Smiths<\/strong>, <strong class=\"css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10\">Bob Dylan<\/strong>, <strong class=\"css-8qgvsz ebyp5n10\">Lana Del Rey<\/strong> and more.
