Opting for psychological warfare on a beat produced in part by Jack Antonoff, Swift\u2019s chief collaborator, Lamar hinted that he had a mole in Drake\u2019s operation and was aware of his opponent\u2019s opposition research.<\/p>\n \u201cFake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person,\u201d he rapped. \u201cEveryone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n That night, Drake\u2019s \u201cFamily Matters\u201d started with its own justification for getting personal \u2014 \u201cYou mentioned my seed, now deal with his dad\/I gotta go bad, I gotta go bad\u201d \u2014 before taking on Lamar\u2019s fatherhood and standing as a man in excruciating detail. \u201cThey hired a crisis management team to clean up the fact that you beat on your queen,\u201d Drake rapped. \u201cThe picture you painted ain\u2019t what it seem\/you\u2019re dead.\u201d<\/p>\n Yet in a chess move that seemed to anticipate Drake\u2019s familial line of attack, Lamar\u2019s \u201cMeet the Grahams\u201d was released almost immediately. \u201cThis supposed to be a good exhibition within the game,\u201d Lamar said, noting that Drake had erred \u201cthe moment you called out my family\u2019s name.\u201d Instead of a rap battle, Lamar concluded after another six minutes of psychological dissection, \u201cthis a long life battle with yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
