Pat Sajak<\/a>‘s\u00a0<\/span>Wheel of Fortune<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>days aren’t totally behind him. Though the longtime game show host <\/span>announced his exit<\/a> from the series last year, ABC revealed on Wednesday that Sajak will be back to host\u00a0<\/span>Celebrity Wheel of Fortune<\/span><\/em>\u00a0one last time.<\/span><\/p>\n Sajak will return to\u00a0<\/span>Celebrity Wheel of Fortune\u00a0<\/span><\/em>this fall, with episodes slated to begin airing Monday, Oct. 7. The celeb-focused game show will air on Mondays throughout the fall, on weeks when there’s no Monday Night Football game.<\/span><\/p>\n The celebrities that are set to participate in the upcoming season have yet to be announced.<\/span><\/p>\n Sajak\u00a0<\/span>announced his retirement<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0<\/span>Wheel of Fortune\u00a0<\/span><\/em>in June 2023 after serving as the game show’s host for 41 seasons. Shortly thereafter, Seacrest came on board\u00a0and <\/span>Vanna White<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>closed her deal<\/a>\u00a0to remain the show’s hostess.<\/span><\/p>\n “I’m so excited! She’s beloved, by this nation, she is just such an important part of the show. She has been for so many years,”\u00a0<\/span>Seacrest told ET<\/a>\u00a0in September 2023. “I’m honored to be on stage with her soon.”<\/span><\/p>\n Sajak\u00a0<\/span>filmed his final episode of\u00a0Wheel<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in April 2024. In a farewell interview with his daughter, Maggie Sajak, which aired on\u00a0<\/span>Good Morning America<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>the host revealed his post-Wheel<\/em>\u00a0plans<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n “I’m perfectly happy if it just means that I’ll continue with my crossword puzzles and play with grandchildren. Hint hint hint, no pressure,” he teased his daughter, shortly before\u00a0<\/span>he landed his first post-show gig<\/a>, acting in\u00a0<\/span>Prescription: Murder\u00a0<\/span><\/em>at Honolulu’s Hawaii Theatre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Then, on June 7,\u00a0<\/span>Sajak’s final episode<\/a>\u00a0aired, <\/span>drawing the highest viewership<\/a> for\u00a0<\/span>Wheel of Fortune<\/span><\/em>\u00a0in over four years, with 11.03 million people tuning in.<\/span><\/p>\n “It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes, night after night, decade after decade,”\u00a0<\/span>Sajak said<\/a>\u00a0in a video message, before acknowledging how the game show was a “safe place for family fun” throughout his tenure.<\/span><\/p>\n “No social issues. No politics. Nothing embarrassing, I hope,” he said. “Just a game. But gradually it became more than that.”<\/span><\/p>\n
