The biggest names in sports and entertainment came together on Thursday night to honor the year’s best, most influential and inspiring athletes at\u00a0the <\/span>2024 ESPY Awards<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming into the big show — held once again this year at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood — sports superstars including <\/span>Olympian Simone Biles<\/a>, basketball stars Jaylen Brown and Caitlin Clark, tennis pro Coco Gauff, <\/span>Super Bowl champ Patrick Mahomes<\/a> and MLB hotshot Shohei Ohtani were among the top nominees at this year’s big awards show.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, this year’s ESPYs handed out the traditional trio of honorary awards to special recipients, including the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance and <\/span>The Pat Tillman Award for Service<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Former NFL pro Steve Gleason was presented with the\u00a0Arthur Ashe Award for his work raising awareness of ALS, while\u00a0University of South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley was presented with the Jimmy V Award. Meanwhile,\u00a0<\/span>Prince Harry was honored with the Pat Tillman Award<\/a> for his efforts towards helping military veterans through sports with the Invictus Games.<\/span><\/p>\n
