Fans will soon be getting a chance to return to the hospitality, intrigue and drama of <\/span>The White Lotus<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Max dropped the first teaser trailer for <\/span>the upcoming third season of the hit series<\/a> on Sunday, revealing a brief but tantalizing glimpse of what’s in store in the upcoming season set in Thailand.<\/span><\/p>\n “New luxuries await you in Thailand,” the caption to the post shares, while a voice can be heard declaring, “What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand.<\/span><\/p>\n The teaser was part of a large promo package for HBO and Max, promoting all the forthcoming films and TV shows headed to network and streamer over the next year.<\/span><\/p>\n It also gave us a look at returning star\u00a0Natasha Rothwell — who previously starred in season 1 — and series <\/span>newcomers\u00a0Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey<\/a>, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola.<\/span><\/p>\n The upcoming third season <\/span>also includes Leslie Bibb<\/a>,\u00a0Walton Goggins,\u00a0Aimee Lou Wood,\u00a0Michelle Monaghan, Carrie Coon and\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>BLACKPINK<\/a>‘s Lisa.<\/span><\/p>\n While Rothwell is the only returning star tapped for this season, there are still plenty of other\u00a0<\/span>White Lotus<\/span><\/em>\u00a0alums who would jump at the chance to check in again. Series creator Mike White previously told\u00a0<\/span>Deadline<\/span><\/em>, “There are so many fun actors we\u2019ve worked with so far, so it\u2019s just kind of like who\u2019s available.”<\/span><\/p>\n Filming for\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em>\u00a0season 3 took\u00a0place<\/a> in and around Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok. HBO announced in January 2024 that it was working directly with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to support the filming and production of the show.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The destination lines up perfectly with White’s plans for the newest installment. “The first season we highlighted money and then the second season is sex and I think the third season, it would be maybe a kind of satirical and funny look at death in Eastern religion and spirituality,” he said in a making-of-season 2 video.\u00a0“It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”<\/span><\/p>\n
