Halle Berry<\/a> made headlines last month when news broke that she <\/span>decided to exit Ryan Murphy’s forthcoming Hulu legal drama<\/a>, <\/span>All’s Fair.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Berry walked the red carpet at the premiere of her new Netflix comedy spy caper <\/span>The Union<\/span><\/em>, and she spoke with ET’s Cassie DiLaura about her surprising departure from Murphy’s hotly anticipated series — which was also set to star <\/span>Kim Kardashian<\/a> and <\/span>Glenn Close<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n “You know, things happen for a reason,” Berry said, when asked about her exit. “[But] I would have loved to have been there with those ladies, and I know it’s gonna be great.”<\/span><\/p>\n “[It’s]\u00a0Ryan Murphy! I mean, you know, duh,” Berry continued, adding, “but next time!”<\/span><\/p>\n All’s Fair<\/span><\/em>\u00a0has been described as a sexy legal drama that follows Kardashian as a top Los Angeles divorce lawyer at an all-female law firm. Details regarding <\/span>the nature of what Berry’s role would have been<\/a> have not yet been released. She was also set to serve as an executive producer on the series.<\/span><\/p>\n Berry walked the carpet on Monday alongside her co-star,\u00a0<\/span>Mark Wahlberg<\/a>, and she <\/span>showed off her fit physique<\/a> in a lacey, semi-sheer black ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n The outing comes just two days ahead of her birthday on Aug. 14, and Berry gleefully marveled, “58 never felt better… I feel great!”<\/span><\/p>\n When asked who was able to pick up the stunt work needed for their fun spy thriller, Berry teased, “Imma go with me!”<\/span><\/p>\n “I was like, ‘Man, I’m older than you! Come on!'” Berry joked. “No, no, he did a great job.”<\/span><\/p>\n In the film, Wahlberg stars as\u00a0Mike, a construction worker who gets wrapped up in a deadly world of spies and espionage when his high school sweetheart Roxanne (Berry) comes back into his life.<\/span><\/p>\n
