A game of the season contender is on the horizon as Josh Allen, fresh off his six-touchdown game against the Los Angeles Rams, leads the Buffalo Bills (10-3) <\/strong>out against the Detroit Lions (12-1).<\/strong><\/p>\n

It beckons as a meeting of not only the league’s two highest-scoring offenses, but also as a potential Super Bowl preview, with kickoff at 9.25pm, live on Sky Sports NFL.<\/p>\n

Before then, the Tua Tagovailoa-inspired Miami Dolphins (6-7) <\/strong>will look to keep their playoff hopes alive as they visit CJ Stroud’s Houston Texans (8-5).<\/strong><\/p>\n

NFL 2024 season dates<\/h2>\n

The 2024 NFL season began on September 5, with reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs beating the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> in dramatic fashion.<\/p>\n

The regular season lasts 18 weeks and ends on January 5 2025.<\/p>\n

At the end of the regular season, a total of 14 teams advance to the playoffs, including the teams with the best record in each of the respective four divisions per conference, plus a further three ‘wild card’ teams determined by which teams own the next-best records in each conference.<\/p>\n

Three rounds of playoff games – the Wildcard Round (January 11-13), the Divisional Round (January 18-19) and the Conference Championships (January 26) take place before the Super Bowl showpiece.<\/p>\n

When is the 2025 Super Bowl?<\/h2>\n

The 2025 Super Bowl takes place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, live on Sky Sports<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It will mark the 11th time the Super Bowl has taken place in New Orleans, the most recent being in 2013.<\/p>\n

Rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the Super Bowl LIX half-time show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

How to follow the 2024 NFL season on Sky<\/h2>\n

Make sure you tune in to Sky Sports NFL every Sunday at 6pm<\/strong> for the first game of our triple-header of live action. The evening’s entertainment also includes NFL Redzone<\/strong> action as hosted by Scott Hanson, as well as Sunday Night Football<\/strong> to round off the night.<\/p>\n
