{"id":39469,"date":"2024-12-14T20:40:13","date_gmt":"2024-12-15T01:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/sport\/daniel-ricciardo-no-interest-in-f1-return-with-cadillac-sources\/14\/12\/2024\/"},"modified":"2024-12-14T20:40:13","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T01:40:13","slug":"daniel-ricciardo-no-interest-in-f1-return-with-cadillac-sources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/sport\/daniel-ricciardo-no-interest-in-f1-return-with-cadillac-sources\/14\/12\/2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Daniel Ricciardo no interest in F1 return with Cadillac &#8211; sources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a data-player-guid=\"7127580e-8bc7-128a-d383-042f648b8e1c\" href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/rpm\/driver?seriesId=6&amp;driverId=4510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Daniel Ricciardo<\/a> has no interest in returning to Formula 1 with General Motors&#8217; Cadillac team in 2026, sources have told ESPN.<\/p>\n<p>A report in Bild this week suggested Ricciardo is at the top of the list for Cadillac, with an agreement in principle to join the grid in 2026.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#8217;s Picks<\/h2>\n<p>2 Related<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Sources close to Ricciardo have told ESPN he &#8220;has not been contacted and he has no interest&#8221; in making the move.<\/p>\n<p>After being cut loose by Red Bull and its RB team this year Ricciardo considers his Formula 1 career to be over.<\/p>\n<p>His goal was to return to racing with the Red Bull team he left at the end of 2018 and get back into race winning machinery.<\/p>\n<p>When that option was cut short by Red Bull, Ricciardo was happy to walk away completely &#8212; he has not retained any ties to the company since leaving after the Singapore Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>Ricciardo won eight races in his career, most recently at the 2022 Italian Grand Prix for McLaren.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if he is done from motor racing entirely.
