Anthony Joshua is pursuing a fight with Tyson Fury in 2025 as he vows to carry on boxing after his crushing defeat to Daniel Dubois in September.<\/p>\n

Former world heavyweight champion Joshua was knocked out in the fifth round by fellow Brit Dubois at Wembley Stadium as he suffered his fourth career loss.<\/p>\n

However, the 35-year-old does not appear to be contemplating retirement and is hoping for a long-awaited showdown with Fury, who was recently outpointed by Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia for a second time.<\/p>\n

Gary Logan believes that Joshua and Tyson Fury will eventually fight each other with interest still high in the bout<\/span>

“2025, I am targeting Tyson Fury,” said Joshua, on a trip to meet Nigerian President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the Dubois fight, he added: “Makes me hungry, makes me want to work harder. Time is of the essence, time is limited, so I just want to put in more work.<\/p>\n

“When I look back, I believe I could have done more in 2024. I have another chance in 2025 to do more and I am going to make sure I take every opportunity that comes my way.<\/p>\n

“I should have won but I didn’t and I am going to go again.<\/p>\n

“My life is up and down so I have to get used to the turbulent times and keep riding the wave.<\/p>\n

“I can’t stop now. I have to keep going until I reach my destination.”<\/p>\n

Speaking to Sky Sports<\/em> after Fury’s defeat to Usyk on December 21, Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, said: “It’s definitely the only fight for Fury and other than the Dubois rematch, it’s obviously the only fight for AJ.<\/p>\n

“Has there ever been a better time? They’re both coming off defeats, both on the back end of their careers.<\/p>\n

“One in Wembley, one in Riyadh, two fights in 2025.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
