My earliest memories of \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d were hearing my parents incorporate catchphrases from Dana Carvey\u2019s Church Lady \u2014 \u201cCould it be \u2026 Satan?\u201d or \u201cWell isn\u2019t that special?\u201d \u2014 into casual conversation.<\/p>\n
Once I was allowed to stay up late enough to watch, I started doing the same thing \u2014 and looking for friends who didn\u2019t think it was weird to respond to someone winning a video game with \u201cWe\u2019re not worthy!\u201d<\/p>\n
For the 50 years it has been on the air, \u201cS.N.L.\u201d has changed how we talk.
