The honorary role was created during the reign of King Charles I in the 17th century.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<aside class=\"css-ew4tgv\" aria-label=\"companion column\"\/><\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"companionColumn-2\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Here are some of the king\u2019s song choices.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"css-13o6u42 eoo0vm40\" id=\"link-5cf16548\">Beyonc\u00e9, \u201cCrazy in Love\u201d<\/h2>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">While the playlist primarily featured artists from the Commonwealth, he included a few from outside the group, citing a personal connection to their music.
