Jeff Bezos<\/a> and Lauren S\u00e1nchez\u2019s wedding won\u2019t cause any problems<\/a> for the residents of Venice<\/a>, the city\u2019s mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, says.<\/p>\n Last week, Page Six<\/em><\/a> reported that the couple\u2019s wedding<\/a> will be held this summer in Venice<\/a>, Italy. While no details about the guest list or the wedding<\/a> date have been revealed, the couple have reportedly already sent their invites out.<\/p>\n Now, Brugnaro has spoken out about the Amazon founder\u2019s reported wedding<\/a> plans, denying claims that he booked a large number of hotel rooms, gondolas, and water taxis in Venice<\/a> for the event.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are mutually working and supporting the organizers, to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city,\u201d he said in a statement to People<\/em><\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n \u201cThe many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos<\/a>\u2019 wedding are completely unfounded,\u201d the city said in a statement, noting its \u201cutmost priority to make sure the city functions as normal, for all, with no abnormal disruption to anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n The city \u2013\u00a0which has warned about the dangers posed by excessive tourism \u2013\u00a0also said that while it\u2019s expecting 200 guests for the wedding, many venues in Venice can accommodate that number, as it has previously for G20 and G7 summits.<\/p>\n
