A new leak claims that with the exclusive pony car optioned up, it will <a href=\"https:\/\/theautowire.com\/2025\/05\/11\/would-a-relatively-cheap-ferrari-612-scaglietti-interest-you\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:set owners back;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">set owners back<\/a> well over $600,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theautowire.com\/2025\/05\/13\/stolen-s550-mustang-tangos-with-georgia-troopers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:This guy could\u2019ve used a GTD instead of a Mustang EcoBoost.;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">This guy could\u2019ve used a GTD instead of a Mustang EcoBoost.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">To put that into perspective, if you want to buy a new <a href=\"https:\/\/theautowire.com\/2025\/05\/01\/arrogant-porsche-911-gt3-rs-driver-wrecks-out-leaving-a-meet\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:2025 Porsche 911 GT3;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">2025 Porsche 911 GT3<\/a>, base MSRP is about $222,500. That\u2019s a lot of cash. If you really want the full enchilada, the GT3 RS will set you back around $244,000 or so.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">That\u2019s significant because Porsche took a 911 GT3 with a manual transmission, not the quicker PDK, and <a href=\"https:\/\/theautowire.com\/2025\/04\/23\/porsche-911-gt3-scorches-mustang-gtd-ring-lap-record\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:beat the Mustang GTD\u2019s;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">beat the Mustang GTD\u2019s<\/a> original Nurburgring lap time. Ford, in a huff, <a href=\"https:\/\/backfirenews.com\/after-getting-shamed-by-porsche-ford-mustang-gtd-goes-back-to-the-ring\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:went back;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">went back<\/a> to the Nordschleife and shaved a few seconds off the first time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">While it beat the 911 GT3, that car didn\u2019t have the PDK and it wasn\u2019t an RS model. And it costs roughly a third of the Ford\u2019s price. Ouch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">We know there are people who are so <a href=\"https:\/\/theautowire.com\/2025\/05\/12\/ford-ceo-jim-farley-is-happy-with-84-month-car-loans\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:loyal to the Blue Oval;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">loyal to the Blue Oval<\/a> or just want to only buy American cars they will gladly pop out for this expensive Mustang. Considering production should be capped at only a few hundred per year and the run might only last a couple of years, Ford doesn\u2019t need a lot of people willing to pony up the cash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">Still, we can\u2019t get over that the Mustang GTD can sell for about what you would pay for a new Lamborghini Revuelto or a Ferrari 812 Competizione.
