Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has called on Iran to “return to the negotiating table” after the US became involved in the Israeli operation against the country on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Sir Keir said “stability in the region is a priority” and described Iran’s nuclear programme as “a grave threat to international security”.<\/p>\n
“Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon and the US has taken action to alleviate that threat,” he added.<\/p>\n
It follows the US bombing Fordo and other key nuclear sites in Iran overnight.<\/p>\n
