Two more people have been arrested on suspicion of a terror offence after military planes were sprayed with paint during a break-in at RAF Brize Norton.<\/p>\n
Footage posted online last Friday by Palestine Action showed two people inside the Oxfordshire airbase in darkness, with one riding on a scooter up to an Airbus Voyager and spraying paint into its jet engine.<\/p>\n
South East counter-terrorism police said on Saturday two men aged 22 and 24, both from London, had been arrested, bringing the total number of arrests in connection with the incident to six.<\/p>\n
The government has said it will proscribe Palestine Action<\/a> following the Brize Norton incident, making it illegal to be a member or support the group.<\/p>\n The two men have been arrested on suspicion of the “commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism, contrary to Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000”.<\/p>\n On Friday, police said they had arrested a 29-year-old woman of no fixed abode and two men, aged 36 and 24<\/a>, both from London, on suspicion of the same offence.<\/p>\n A 41-year-old woman, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.<\/p>\n The arrests took place in Newbury, Berkshire, and all suspects remain in custody.<\/p>\n
