{"id":50732,"date":"2025-07-12T07:44:00","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T11:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/world\/new-secretary-general-of-international-civil-defence-organization-elected\/12\/07\/2025\/"},"modified":"2025-07-12T07:44:00","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T11:44:00","slug":"new-secretary-general-of-international-civil-defence-organization-elected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/world\/new-secretary-general-of-international-civil-defence-organization-elected\/12\/07\/2025\/","title":{"rendered":"New secretary-general of International Civil Defence Organization elected"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"\" data-article-body=\"true\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Secretary-General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) has been elected at a session held in Baku, according to the Azerbaijan Press Agency (APA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The head of the international relations department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel Arguj Kalantarli, was unanimously elected to the post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Kalantarli delivered a speech, highlighting the \u201chumanitarian catastrophe on an unimaginable scale\u201d in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, noting Palestine is a member state of the ICDO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cFood, water, medicine, shelter, these are no longer just basic rights, \u201d he said.
