{"id":51103,"date":"2025-07-25T16:02:48","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T20:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/world\/tamra-resident-indicted-for-transferring-nis-1-5-m-to-pij-under-the-guise-of-gaza-aid-donations\/25\/07\/2025\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T16:02:48","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T20:02:48","slug":"tamra-resident-indicted-for-transferring-nis-1-5-m-to-pij-under-the-guise-of-gaza-aid-donations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/world\/tamra-resident-indicted-for-transferring-nis-1-5-m-to-pij-under-the-guise-of-gaza-aid-donations\/25\/07\/2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Tamra resident indicted for transferring NIS 1.5 m. to PIJ under the guise of Gaza aid donations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"\" data-article-body=\"true\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A Tamra resident has been indicted for transferring over NIS 1.5 million to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, disguised as donations for Gaza&#8217;s children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">An indictment was filed on Friday against a Tamra resident for transferring over NIS 1.5 million to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/pij-claims-lost-contact-terrorists-211016902.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Palestinian Islamic Jihad;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Palestinian Islamic Jihad<\/a>, which was disguised as &#8220;donations for Gaza&#8217;s children,&#8221; Israel Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Ahmad Diab, 36, has been involved in fundraising efforts since 2020, collecting funds for an organization called &#8220;Karban Tarik Al-Ahsan.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">When asking for donations, Diab shared footage appearing to show <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/hamas-gambles-gaza-future-leaving-095512459.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Gazan;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Gazan<\/a> children receiving aid he claimed was purchased with the money he raised, which was later revealed to have been sent to him by a member of the PIJ.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"mb-4 text-lg font-bold\">Diab transferred funds to PIJ for nearly a year<\/h3>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The PIJ member, who was living in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/tags\/khan-yunis\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Khan Yunis;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Khan Yunis<\/a>, reached out to Diab in July 2024, requesting his help in raising funds for Gazan residents.
