However, his death has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The IDF carried out a strike targeting a senior <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/six-killed-nasser-hospital-were-185713695.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Hamas terrorist;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Hamas terrorist<\/a> in Gaza City, the IDF and Shin Bet confirmed in a joint statement Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Hamas military wing spokesperson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/idf-strikes-targets-khan-yunis-003203533.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Abu Obeida;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Abu Obeida<\/a> was the target of the strike. Israeli officials told <em>The Jerusalem Post<\/em> they are optimistic he was killed in the strike. However, his death has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The strike targeted the first and second floors of a residential building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In the strike, one was killed, and several others were wounded, Palestinian state media WAFA reported. (credit: TPS-IL)<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"mb-4 text-lg font-bold\">Obeida threatens soldiers will be kidnapped, warns hostages held in combat zones<\/h3>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Hamas\u2019s military wing spokesperson, Abu Obeida, declared on Friday that Israeli hostages are being held alongside its fighters in combat zones under the same perilous conditions, as Israel intensifies preparations for a full-scale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/idf-strikes-terror-targets-across-100636516.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:invasion of Gaza City;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">invasion of Gaza City<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWe will preserve the lives of the captives to the extent that we can,\u201d the terror group said. \u201cThey will remain with our fighters in the places of confrontation, exposed to the same risks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The IDF\u2019s expansion of operations will increase the chances of capturing IDF soldiers, the Hamas spokesperson warned.
