Canadian, French, and British foreign ministers slammed the IDF’s incursion into Gaza City late on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Canada’s foreign ministry called Israel’s new ground offensive in Gaza City<\/a> “horrific.”<\/p>\n “It worsens the humanitarian crisis and jeopardizes the release of the hostages,” the foreign ministry said in a post on X. “The Government of Israel must adhere to international law.”<\/p>\n Additionally, France “strongly condemned” the operation, which it called a \u201cdestructive campaign\u201d that \u201cno longer has a military rationale.<\/p>\n The French foreign ministry urged that the Gaza City offensive stop and called for an immediate resumption of negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage deal.<\/p>\n Newly appointed UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper<\/a> called the operation “utterly reckless and appalling.”<\/p>\n “It will only bring more bloodshed, kill more innocent civilians & endanger the remaining hostages,” she added.<\/p>\n Cooper called for an “immediate ceasefire<\/a>“, the release of all hostages, and “a path to lasting peace.”<\/p>\n On Monday evening, the IDF began the invasion of Gaza City with Operation Gideon’s Chariots II.<\/p>\n IDF Arabic Spokesperson Col.
