SAN DIEGO (FOX 5\/KUSI) \u2014 Calling all goblins, ghouls, princesses and superheroes! A beloved Halloween tradition returns to Little Italy this weekend to give eager trick-or-treaters an evening of family-friendly fun.<\/p>\n
People of all ages are invited to Trick-or-Treat on India Street, which takes place on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
The Piazza della Famiglia will be transformed into the world of the Tim Burton classic, \u201cThe Nightmare Before Christmas\u201d for the event. There will be plenty of photo opportunities, from a giant 13-foot Jack Skellington to large pumpkin decorations.<\/p>\n
Families can go door-to-door along India Street to ask businesses for treats and candy. They will also be able to shop from local vendors in the Piazza della Famiglia selling various goodies.<\/p>\n
Maps of participating businesses will be available to the public. Cedar through Grape streets will be closed for the event.<\/p>\n
New for the event this year, Shake Shack in Little Italy will host a costume contest with different categories: 0-3 years old, 4-8 years old, 9-13 years old and family\/group costume.<\/p>\n
Those interested in participating in the costume contest need to sign up at 5 p.m. and judging will begin at 5:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners of each category.<\/p>\n
