{"id":53798,"date":"2025-11-01T10:00:01","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T14:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/world\/tourists-fly-in-israelis-fly-out-new-data-from-cbs-shows\/01\/11\/2025\/"},"modified":"2025-11-01T10:00:01","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T14:00:01","slug":"tourists-fly-in-israelis-fly-out-new-data-from-cbs-shows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newssprinters.com\/index.php\/world\/tourists-fly-in-israelis-fly-out-new-data-from-cbs-shows\/01\/11\/2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Tourists fly in, Israelis fly out, new data from CBS shows"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<\/p>\n<div data-article-body=\"true\">\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While evacuees return home, tourists flock back, and locals leave town, Israel&#8217;s hospitality industry is facing some changing trends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/consumerism\/article-871679\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:tourists;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">tourists<\/a> are increasingly flocking to Israel, Israelis continue booking their flights abroad, new data published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/opinion\/article-871518\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Central Bureau of Statistics;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Central Bureau of Statistics<\/a> (CBS) on Monday showed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to the data, the first nine months of this year saw 15.8 million hotel overnight stays, down from 17.7 million visiting during the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">However, while overnight stays by Israelis (including evacuees) dropped by about 15% to 13.8 million, tourist stays rose sharply from 1.5 million in January to September 2024 to 2.1 million this year, an increase of nearly 40%.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The CBS\u2019s report noted that in the past three months there was an average monthly increase of about 5% in tourist overnight stays, compared to 3.9% in previous months.
