Hyundai Motor unveiled a new battery-powered version of its Staria flagship MPV at this year\u2019s Brussels Motor Show, as the South Korean automaker continues to target growing global demand for zero-emission vehicles. The new model will be available initially as a 7-seater family MPV and as a 9-seater \u2018Wagon\u2019 variant, designed for group travel and shuttle operations.<\/p>\n
The Staria Electric is powered by an 84 kWh battery, which drives a 160 kW (218 PS) front-wheel-drive electric motor, providing a range of up to 400 km. The vehicle uses an 800-volt electric architecture which the company says supports \u201chigh power flow while minimizing heat generation, enabling repeated fast charging.\u201d The batteries can be charged from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes using ultra-fast DC charging systems.<\/p>\n
A revamped interior includes dual 12.3-inch digital displays, combining the instrument cluster and infotainment system. It is equipped with Hyundai\u2019s SmartSense advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), featuring camera- and radar-based technologies that continuously monitor the surroundings and assist the driver in everyday traffic situations.<\/p>\n
Hyundai confirmed that the Staria Electric will go on sale in South Korea and Europe in the first half of 2026, with additional markets to follow later in the year.<\/p>\n
