Former Hamas hostage<\/a> Daniella Gilboa shared a preview of her newly released song on Sunday, one year after being freed from captivity.<\/p>\n “I can’t believe that the moment has finally arrived when I get to share something of mine, finally my voice can be heard, and I don’t need to whisper anymore, don’t need to fear,” Gilboa wrote in an Instagram post on her personal account. “From here, I’m setting off on a new path.”<\/p>\n The preview of her unnamed new song, inspired by her time as a hostage in the Gaza Strip<\/a>, includes the lyrics “Fighting not to remember \/ Promising not to break \/ But even so, how time passes \/ Everything flashes before my eyes \/ Even when my head gets confused \/ I remember how everything is better \/ And how there’s no place like home.”<\/p>\n Previously, Gilboa had “only dreamed” of being so vulnerable and exposed in front of so many people, she shared. “Today, after a year of working on myself, I feel more confident in opening my heart.”<\/p>\n The freed hostage also shared that her song was written in collaboration with Israeli musician Gil Vain, and thanked him for his help.<\/p>\n Gilboa was one of the seven female IDF observers abducted<\/a> from the Nahal Oz military base on October 7.<\/p>\n She returned to Israel in January 2025, along with fellow IDF observers Naama Levy, Karina Ariev, and Liri Albag, after spending nearly 500 days as a hostage<\/a> in Hamas captivity.<\/p>\n Jerusalem Post Staff contributed to this report.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\nGilboa abducted from Nahal Oz on October 7<\/h3>\n
