HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) \u2014 Lee Marshall, Kids to Love CEO, traveled to Israel on a ministry trip and is now struggling to return home.<\/p>\n
Marshall said her group arrived on Thursday and was seeking shelter in bomb shelters by Saturday. News 19 first spoke with Marshall after the initial strikes<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n \u2018We\u2019re here for awhile\u2019: Huntsville family among group sheltering in Israel <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWe could hear some of the explosions from the resort where we were, and there was an alert system that would tell us when a missile had been fired, and that\u2019s when we would go to a storm shelter,\u201d Marshall said.<\/p>\n Marshall detailed that the group must travel to another country to try to fly back home since the airport in Tel Aviv is shut down, which is no easy journey.<\/p>\n \u201cSo we have been traveling by bus all day Monday in an effort to leave the country. We will be on a bus again all day tomorrow,\u201d Marshall said. \u201cIt\u2019s been very unnerving to be in a country in the middle of war.<\/p>\n The group\u2019s exact location could not be shared due to safety concerns, but Marshall said she hopes to be back in Huntsville by Wednesday or Thursday.<\/p>\n Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
