For Adrienne Bailon-Houghton<\/strong>, being a \u201cboy mom\u201d is incredibly special.<\/p>\n The Cheetah Girls<\/em> alum, 42 \u2014 who shares son Ever James<\/strong><\/a>, 3, with husband Israel Houghton<\/strong> \u2014 exclusively tells In Touch<\/em> that she\u2019s learned \u201cso much\u201d raising a boy after growing up in a family full of women.<\/p>\n The actress, who sat down with mom Nilda Felix<\/strong> to discuss their partnership with Finish to celebrate the launch of the cleaning brand\u2019s Finish Ultimate Quantum<\/a>, says she was \u201cso sure\u201d she was going to be a \u2018\u201cgirl mom\u201d just like her mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.<\/p>\n However, that all changed when she and the Christian music singer, 54, welcomed son Ever in 2022 via surrogate.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a part of me that was like, \u2018This is going to be so different. I\u2019m not sure what to do with boys,\u2019\u201d she admitted. \u201cAnd then you become a \u2018boy mom,\u2019 and it\u2019s like, \u2018What did I ever do without you<\/a>?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Raising son Ever has put a lot of things into perspective. \u201cThere is a part of my heart that I think \u2014 this may sound silly, but even boys that have broken my heart, I\u2019m now raising a man, and there\u2019s things I\u2019m understanding<\/a>. Being able to love on a little boy is so healing.\u201d<\/p>\n
