Tal and Kirish Akrish brought their third son into the world, the first to be born at the Ziv Medical Center’s maternity ward since the war started more than a month ago.<\/p>\n
A new baby was born in Israel’s northern community of Kidmat Tzvi in the Golan Heights<\/a> as the country celebrated its 78th Independence Day<\/a>, the Ziv Medical Center announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Tal and Kirish Akrish brought their third son into the world, thanking the medical team at Ziv Medical Center<\/a> in Safed. “We went through a difficult time in the north<\/a>, but from the moment we entered the delivery room at Ziv, we felt that we were in the best hands possible,” they said.<\/p>\n “The moment we held our baby for the first time was a moment of great light!” they added.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are moments when our profession becomes a real mission. The transition from sadness to joy took on tangible meaning in the delivery room,” said Hanan Abu Assi, the midwife who accompanied the birth.<\/p>\n “When the baby emerged into the world, we felt happiness and hope. There is no more moving gift than this to start Independence Day with,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
