Ukraine launched another drone attack overnight on the Russian oil loading port of Primorsk on the Baltic coast, the regional governor said on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cA fire broke out while repelling attacks on Primorsk; the aftermath of the fire is currently being dealt with,\u201d Alexandr Drozdenko, governor of the Leningrad region surrounding St Petersburg, wrote on Telegram.<\/p>\n
He added that no oil products had leaked. According to his account, more than 60 drones were shot down over the region.<\/p>\n
The independent outlet Astra reported, citing satellite image analysis, that the oil terminal and a Pantsir air defence system were likely hit. There was no immediate information on the extent of the damage.<\/p>\n
Separately, media reports indicated further drone strikes on the southern Russian port city of Novorossiysk. According to those reports, two tankers linked to Russia\u2019s shadow fleet may have been hit, though this has not been officially confirmed.<\/p>\n
Ukraine has increasingly relied on drone strikes as part of its defence against Russia\u2019s invasion, targeting not only military installations but also oil infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The strategy aims to disrupt fuel supplies to Russian forces and, more broadly, undermine the Kremlin\u2019s ability to finance the war.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
