International Graphite Ltd (ASX:IG6, FRA:H99, OTC:IGRPF)<\/a>\u00a0has received a Building Permit from the Shire of Collie, clearing the way for earthworks and civil construction to begin at its Collie Micronising Facility in Western Australia.<\/p>\n The permit represents the second of six\u00a0milestones tied to the company\u2019s $4.5 million grant from the Western Australian Government\u2019s Collie Industrial Transition Fund, enabling International Graphite to draw down the next tranche of funding.<\/p>\n Builder Prosser Built has also confirmed the final tender price for construction of the production building that will house the micronising plant and equipment.<\/p>\n The company said the price was within 0.1% of the budget prepared for the 2025 front-end engineering and design (FEED) study.<\/p>\n Exterior design schematic of the new facility.<\/em><\/p>\n International Graphite said the project remained on schedule to achieve mechanical completion in Q2 2027 and within the capital cost estimate of $8.0 million.<\/p>\n As the Collie project moves closer to production, customer engagement has increased, with strong interest reported from Australian and north Asian customers and trading groups seeking new sources of graphite products.<\/p>\n The Collie Micronising Facility is expected to become Australia\u2019s first commercial graphite micronising operation.<\/p>\n International Graphite said development of the facility had also been instrumental in fast-tracking progress at the IG6-Alkeemia Joint Venture in Porto Marghera.<\/p>\n Yesterday, International Graphite signed a binding joint venture and shareholders\u2019 agreement with Alkeemia S.p.A. to establish a major graphite processing hub<\/a> at Alkeemia\u2019s Porto Marghera chemical production facility near Venice, Italy.<\/p>\n The agreement provides IG6 with an accelerated pathway into European graphite processing by leveraging Alkeemia\u2019s existing industrial infrastructure, including permitting, warehousing, laboratories, control rooms, waste management systems, port and rail access, an operating workforce and on-site graphite purification capacity under development.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\nProject remains on schedule for Q2 2027 <\/h4>\n
