Amanda Staveley and husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi’s PCP Capital Partners have made an offer to buy a 25.1 per cent stake in West Ham.<\/p>\n

Sky News<\/em>‘ Mark Kleinman broke the news on Thursday that the couple were preparing a bid for a share that belongs to the family of the late David Gold. That offer has now gone in.<\/p>\n

Sky News <\/em>also reported that the club’s current investors have first refusal on whether they would like to match the offer.<\/p>\n

Sources close to the situation insisted to Sky News <\/em>that Daniel Kretinsky, who raised his share in the club earlier this year<\/a>, remains interested in a deal.<\/p>\n

However, West Ham’s ownership structure means he does not want to acquire all of the Gold-owned stake, which would make him the club’s majority owner.<\/p>\n

If there is an agreement with both parties, the Gold family will make a statement – not PCP – out of respect to all other shareholders.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports News <\/em>understands there will be no public comment from PCP for the same reason while negotiations are ongoing.<\/p>\n

Staveley and PCP have held discussions with a number of Premier League clubs since leaving Newcastle, including Tottenham, but are now focused on the Hammers.<\/p>\n

What has happened at West Ham so far this summer?<\/h3>\n

It has been a busy summer for West Ham after their relegation from the Premier League. There were questions over whether Nuno Espirito Santo <\/strong>would continue as head coach – and it was soon confirmed that he would.<\/a><\/p>\n

Joint-chairman David Sullivan<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>also stepped down after “serious historic allegations” emerged regarding his conduct, which he denies.<\/p>\n

In terms of transfers, Matheus Fernandes <\/a><\/strong>and Crysencio Summerville<\/a><\/strong> have been the biggest outgoings. But perhaps their best bit of business will be keeping captain Jarrod Bowen.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was also reported on Friday that West Ham are in talks with Celtic for midfielder Arne Engels.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
