Left-wing Standing Together protesters attempted to violently break into the Religious Zionist Party’s<\/a> headquarters in Shoam, the party claimed on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n The protesters were seen banging on the doors with hands painted red while chanting “Arabs want to live.”<\/p>\n In a statement, Standing Together protesters said that activists sat on the floor and chanted: “Smotrich<\/a> finances, the settlers burn, the blood is on the hands of the bloody government” and “The suit will not help, here they are preparing terror.”<\/p>\n While initial reports indicated that RZP members were locked inside the headquarters and were forbidden to leave, Standing Together stated that the doors were not locked and that party members were free to leave as they pleased.<\/p>\n Israel Police stated that the protesters had already dispersed by the time they arrived on the scene, and that there had been “a small number of participants who painted their hands red and posed for photographs at the entrance to the party’s offices” involved.<\/p>\n Protesters outside the Religious Zionist party headquarters in Jerusalem, August 5, 2026. (Credit: Courtesy)<\/em><\/p>\n The incident is under review, and the police affirmed that “incitement, violence, or any violation of the law under the guise of protest” would not be tolerated.<\/p>\n After the activists left, RZP issued a statement claiming the protest had been a direct result of “incitement by Yair Golan and his associates, along with Gadi Eisenkot’s<\/a> silence, against the settlers.”<\/p>\n The party called on police to “investigate the incident and ensure the safety of party employees in Israel,” and called for Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, and Chili Tropper<\/a> to “condemn the violence of the far left, which is fueled by incitement against the settler community.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\nRZP calls on opposition leaders to ‘condemn far-left violence’<\/h3>\n
