Everton<\/b><\/a> have agreed a deal for Jack Grealish to return to the club on a season-long loan from <\/b>Manchester City<\/b><\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n The 30-year-old is set for a medical at the Toffees, with his move expected to be completed before Tuesday’s 23:00 BST transfer deadline.<\/p>\n Grealish spent a large chunk of last term at Everton<\/a> under a similar arrangement, scoring twice and providing six assists in 20 appearances, before sustaining a season-ending foot injury in January.<\/p>\n Everton<\/a> have also agreed a \u00a33m deal to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from French side Lyon. <\/p>\n The 29-year-old former Arsenal<\/a> player has won five caps for England and can operate as a full-back or in midfield.<\/p>\n England winger Grealish had been linked with other teams – including his boyhood club Aston Villa<\/a> – but his preference was to return to Everton<\/a>, whose chief executive Angus Kinnear told BBC Radio Merseyside had “remained in contact” with Grealish.<\/p>\n With Toffees winger Iliman Ndiaye, 26, expected to complete a \u00a365m switch to City<\/a>, the Merseyside club want to bolster their attacking options before the deadline.<\/p>\n Everton<\/a> also look to be closing in on the signing of Monaco and USA forward Folarin Balogun in a \u00a340m deal.<\/a> <\/p>\n However, their bid to re-sign Brazil striker Richarlison from Tottenham<\/a> appears to have stalled over personal terms. <\/p>\n Grealish, who joined City from Villa for \u00a3100m in August 2021, has made two appearances for Enzo Maresca’s side this season.<\/p>\n He came on as a substitute in their Community Shield defeat by Arsenal<\/a> before coming off the bench in a win against Bournemouth<\/a> in their Premier League opener.<\/p>\n Grealish did not figure in a 4-1 victory at Crystal Palace<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Everton<\/a>‘s Scotland defender Nathan Patterson could move to Serie A side Torino before Tuesday’s transfer deadline. <\/p>\n Talks are under way between the clubs about a deal for the 24-year-old. It is not yet clear whether any transfer would be on loan or a permanent move.<\/p>\n For the second summer running Everton<\/a> were also seemingly in the running to sign Dutch full-back Kenny Tete, 30. <\/p>\n However, it appears his proposed \u00a39.4m move from Fulham<\/a> had been dependent upon the Cottagers finding a suitable replacement.<\/p>\n Everton<\/a> are next in action on Sunday, when they host Manchester United<\/a> in the Premier League (14:00 BST).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
