SEOUL, South Korea (AP) \u2014 North Korea on Monday called South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol \u201ca guy with a trash-like brain\u201d and \u201ca diplomatic idiot\u201d as it blasted him for using a U.N. speech<\/a> to issue a warning over the North\u2019s deepening military ties with Russia.<\/p>\n In a speech at the U.N. General Assembly last week, Yoon said South Korea \u201cwill not sit idly by\u201d if North Korea and Russia agree to weapons deals that would pose a threat to the South.<\/p>\n North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s trip to Russia earlier this month to meet President Vladimir Putin and visit key military sites raised international concern<\/a> about a possible push by North Korea to receive sophisticated nuclear and weapons technologies in return for replenishing Russia’s conventional arms inventory depleted by its war with Ukraine.<\/p>\n \u201cPuppet traitor Yoon Suk Yeol, even at the 78th U.N. General Assembly, malignantly slandered the relations between (North Korea) and Russia,\u201d the North\u2019s official Korean Central News Agency said in a commentary.<\/p>\n Without addressing the worries about a possible weapons deal with Russia, KCNA said it\u2019s \u201cquite natural\u201d and a \u201clegitimate right\u201d for neighboring countries to keep close ties with each other.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s self-evident that such a guy with a trash-like brain cannot understand the profound and enormous meaning of the development of (North Korea)-Russia friendly relations,\u201d KCNA said. \u201cNo one in the world would lend an ear to the hysteric fit of puppet traitor Yoon Suk Yeol, who is only wearing disgraceful ill fames of \u2018political immature,\u2019 \u2018diplomatic idiot\u2019 and \u2018incompetent chief executive.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Koo Byoungsam, a spokesperson for South Korea\u2019s Unification Ministry, said the KCNA insults demonstrated North Korea’s \u201csubstandard system that lacks basic etiquette and common sense.\u201d<\/p>\n
