Saudi restaurant body selects Tabsense AI POS tech for 6,000 venues

The Restaurant and Cafes Owner Association in Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement with Tabsense to roll out the company’s points of intelligence (POI) technology across 6,000 member outlets.

The partnership was unveiled at the Hospitality Cruise, an industry event for restaurant operators and hospitality leaders.

According to a press release posted on Zawya, the deal is seen as a major technology rollout in Saudi Arabia’s food and beverage sector and supports the association’s push for innovation and advanced systems in the fast-growing restaurant and café market.

Under the deal, association members will gain access to Tabsense’s POI platform, which the company says is built with AI embedded into its core rather than added as an extra layer.

AI-native point-of-sale systems provider Tabsense explained that this structure enables features such as predictive analytics, automated inventory control and pattern-based fraud detection.

It added that its platform has been designed to support member restaurants and cafés by improving profitability, streamlining day-to-day operations and identifying suspicious transactions in real time.

Tabsense co-founder and CEO Mohamed Jaber was quoted by Zawya as saying: “This partnership represents a fundamental shift in how Saudi Arabia’s restaurant sector can leverage technology to compete and grow.

“Our AI-native POI systems don’t just process transactions—they provide real-time insights that help restaurant owners make smarter decisions, reduce waste, and protect their margins.

“Working with the Restaurant and Cafes Owner Association allows us to bring these capabilities to thousands of establishments simultaneously, creating a more efficient and profitable hospitality ecosystem across the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia].”
