A Danish man has been detained in Hamburg for allegedly spying on Jewish people on behalf of an Iranian intelligence service preparing attacks in Germany.
The Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, based in the western city of Karlsruhe, has brought charges against the man over the murder plot.
An Afghan co-defendant has been charged with attempted complicity in murder.
Concern has risen since the beginning of the war in Iran about attacks on Jews in Europe being carried out with Tehran’s backing.
